Almost all of us have deleted important files at least once in our life. This is when a file recovery program comes handy. Wondershare Recoverit is a program that scans your system, detects the recoverable files, and lets you recover them.
The program has a clean interface which may look dull to some users. Nevertheless, this is not a major issue. It allows you to select the type of search you want to perform. For example, you can search only those files that were sent to the recycle bin, those from lost partitions,or data lost due to a system crash or a virus attack. Also, you can choose to scan your local disk(s) or any external drive. Then, the program will start scanning the corresponding drive. The time of the scanning process can be long, and will depend on your disk(s) size and on the speed of your processor.
In the end, you can choose to view the recoverable files by folders (tree format), or by file type. Then, you only need to select the files you want to recover, and click on the "Recover" button.
The shareware version only allows you to scan and preview the recoverable files. Thus, I couldn't test the recovery process or the integrity of the recovered files. If you want to actually recover any of the files found, you will need to purchase a license.
